Francophile Friday : If the Leopard Print Fits ...

Ahh, leopard print!  I should stick with a pretty clutch or pair of pumps, but today, all restraint went out the window.  Hello, statement coat!

The current slouchy 'wear everything three sizes up and all at once' trend might suit suit those of the 6 foot tall persuasion, but those of the 5 foot two persuasion?  Not so much.  Today's illustration is point in case.  I had to add 12 inches to my stature and even so, it seems I'm wearing a leopard dressing gown over my dearly departed grandpa's duds and my nephew's sneakers.  But gosh dang, in spite of it all, I kind of like it.

So come, let us enjoy the comfort of running shoes and an outfit that will surely camouflage the most overindulgent of pastry feedings and several belt notch releases with ease.  Heck, I think we could tuck an entire macaron tower in there.  Shall we test the theory?  And on that note ...

Happy Francophile Friday to you!

  1. I'm all for comfort over style, though some of my most beloved clothing items are a little too comfortable and not quite stylish enough. I need someone to go with me when I shop, to say, "No, not that! Too comfortable!"

    1. Heh! Comfort food, comfort clothes ~ there's much to love about them, Petrea. Especially when one isn't heading into an office each day ~ au casuale is a very enjoyable daily dress code. I often struggle with the comfort/style conundrum, too! Happy weekend to you, Wilma and J. x0

  2. The coat is so me! The shoes...not so much. No pumps for me but just something a bit more stylish...a nice leather Mary Jane maybe.

  3. PS Being 5'5" doesn't help....those things still look too big.

    1. That's a nice shoe choice, Michelle! The sneakers trend can be fun for a change but give me pretty shoes any day. :) Baci ed abbracci to you and Diavolo! x0
