Today's illustration takes us armchair travelling to the 5th arrondissement in Paris, where you'll find the ever-so-charming Odette pâtisserie and salon de thé tucked into the crook of rue Galande's arm. {There's another on rue Montorgueil in the 1st, too.}
At a glance you'll be forgiven for assuming those are towers of macarons. Mais non, Odette is the home of choux, in myriad individual flavours, beautifully boxed, or when you really want to share the choux love: procure one of their tempting towers. I'm starting at the top and working my way through. Shall I order us tea for two? And on that note...
