Fashionable Friday : Agent Violet and the Enigmatic Eclair

The desire for an éclair proved an urgent one.  Agent Violet glanced again at her watch, assessing the volume of foot traffic and estimated travel time to The Groomer.  Sir Percy had been somewhat tiresome in his insistence on punctuality, given she preferred the element of surprise and had significant skills in adapting time to suit herself.  Her canine shifted from one paw to another and her feline hefted a bored sigh.  It was time to move.

She left the harlequin hat box in The Place Most Secure as it would impede her movements in the pâtisserie, and performed a deft wardrobe change.  Her Eclair Contact was particularly helpless to her charms when she wore a certain shade of red and she needed him to facilitate a delivery of The Drycleaner's favourites.  It was a temporary pacifier but for now, it would have to do.

Will the tranquilliser dart mechanisms in her stilettos survive the Paris cobblestones if she takes the route of most direct trajectory? Will her canine keep his fur in order until she meets up with The Groomer? And can her contact be trusted to package the éclairs without tampering, given his unfortunate history with The Drycleaner?  Let us lose ourselves in the gentle swirling of our snifters of brandy and ponder.  And on that note ...

Happy Fashionable Friday to you !

  1. I am gently swirling and pondering with all my might that we could all live like this if only we dressed the part. Agent Violet is looking particularly lovely today, mind you, so it is a lot to aspire to.

  2. Agent Violet looks particularly fetching this FF. Of course she'll succeed, with or without my urgent swirling.

    1. I'm so glad you like the new shop, dear Mise !! Hurrah ! I've been fretting over not having cards available and this seems a very nice solution to not only that, but having some other lovely products available that people were enquiring after. Thank you for waving the flag. :)

  4. You remind me of a sad dry cleaning mishap I had in Paris. Oh, the language barrier! (And I thought I spoke French.)

    1. I can't begin to imagine trying to talk dry cleaning in French, Petrea ... thankfully Violet is fluent as I'm not sure her poodle can be of much help.

  5. If I must go to the dry cleaner, I want to go with you—because only you could turn a dull chore into such an adventure. (And I probably don't want to go with Petrea, at least not in Paris. Sorry, Petrea.)

    1. Alexa, I can't help but wonder if Petrea would have had a vastly improved outcome had she tried the universal language of éclairs ...

    2. I employed the universal language of tears. I was surprised that it worked!

    3. I've done that too, Petrea—probably wouldn't work for me these days. :~{
