Fashionable Friday : Ruffled Over the Thrill of the Chaise

Today, I'm allowing my cares to float away on a sea of ruffles tumbling from tangerine waves into pale pink fairy floss ~ and feeling grateful and blessed for so many things.  Expressing love, beauty and gratitude are the ways to my happy place.

Would you like to join me?  We might need another one of those chaises.  What's a gathering of more than one chaise? A charisma of chaises?  Come to think of it, maybe we're talking love seats, anyway ... or fainting couches.  Who can tell under this delectable proliferation of fluffy goodness?  How about I pour some tea while we make up our minds ~ and on that note ...

Happy Fashionable Friday to you !

  1. I think what we need is a swoon of fainting couches to accommodate all of your friends who would like to join you in this fabulous fantasy. Put my name at the top of the guest list, s'il te plait!

  3. I find the transition from orange to pink rather attractive. It might be because when I was a kid (growing up in California) there was a chain called House of Pies. They we're housed in what could be considered a faux Swiss Chalet. But most importantly - the interior was pink and orange. I guess I associate that combo with cherry pie. And who doesn't like cherry pie on a Friday?

    btw - love the ruffles.

    1. Cherry pie works for me, PA !! Cherries are in season at Christmas here, so while I've not yet baked a cherry pie or tasted one, I've eaten rather a few lately au naturale. {The cherries, that is ...}

  5. How fun this must have been to draw! Simply lovely. (But will she allow Kitty to nestle in her lap with all the ruffles??)

    I wonder if IKEA has fainting couches....

    1. It was lots of fun, Ms M !! And that's a resounding yes ~ kitties are always welcome in amongst the folds. If we see a sudden resurgence in fainting couches, we'll know where it started ...
