Francophile Friday: Paris Framboise

ink & watercolour illustration, 8.75" x 7" [22.5 x 18cm] ACQUIRE PRINTS

With clouds of romance perfuming the air this week, stocks in the colour red have soared.  This weekend, perhaps we'll even see a spike in raspberry.  Today's shoe shop in Paris was inspired by our dear Virginia of Paris Through My Lens {if you love Paris and red, you'll love her book, Paris Rouge}.  Thank you, ma chère.

You can take a little tour of the interiors of Vialis thanks to Silvia Contreras, the architect behind its fitout.  No prizes for guessing what activity we'll be engaged in while there.  Do you think they serve champagne?  I'm hoping we'll find the perfect heels to suit this, this or this.  And on that note...

Happy Francophile Friday to you!

  3. I'm with Altadenhiker. After all, you wouldn't want your outfit to clash with the fabulous framboise-ness of this pretty little shop. You've done V's original proud (comme toujours), ma chère.

  5. Several of the Dena ladies breakfasted together today chez Margaret, and your name came up, Shell, as the queen of Pinterest. Once again, a shining example of how to do it well. I think I'll go to your etsy shop and pin something.

I am a Pinterest beginner and not quite yet sharing my fledgling boards with --you know, the world--but here, just among us, is a new pin

    1. Favourite Vintage Finds, she would probably have preferred legs to smooch up to, but a post is acceptable at a pinch. Nose rubs back to you-know-who!

  12. I do love shop windows as exquisitely sparse as this one is, as I always feel comforted that I'm leaving all my money in safe hands.

    1. Ahem, perhaps I have just a wee dram of addiction to Pinterest, Margaret, but if it brings others pleasure, I'm happy to indulge it.
