A Bark of Baguettes

ink & watercolour weensy meep miniature, 3.5 x 2.5" [9 x 6.5cm ] ACQUIRE A MEEP
You haven't gone barking mad.  It's not already Francophile Friday.  While this looks like a sweet and typical French scene, I thought I'd try some trick illustrography.  This dear little fellow is the furry offspring of a one of Virginia's friends, and does not live in France at all. But he’d look very much at home there, n'est ce pas?

  1. He looks quite pleased with himself, riding in a basket with a delicious baguette (can he resist taking a bite or two??)

My WV is "fablem." Your illos are fablem. (plural of fab)

  4. Ms M, Yvonne ~ he does look pretty chuffed with his lot in life. I'm guessing he's more than a bit pampered.

Hee! Thanks, Petrea ~ I'm glad you find them fablem!

  5. Ouah! Ouah! (That's French for woof woof.) This well-behaved little pup—not one bite has been taken from that baguette—would surely be welcome in any restaurant in France!

  6. Put a little gray on that muzzle and it could be Phoebe.

  7. Speaking of typical French scene, if that puppy was like my dog, he would be certainly more interested in the Camembert hidden in the basket than in the baguette !!

  8. His taste is certainly French. And he's cute enough to be French. LOL. Marylène's comment made me laugh!

  9. That cute puppy sure has more willpower than I do around a baguette! Maybe he was just given a macaron and he's blissing out on that.

  10. Alexa ~ Ouah! Ouah! Oh, how cute!

Hiker ~ say, how about that!

Marylène ~ I'd be keen to sniff out the Camembert, too!

Cali ~ another example of good things in small packages!

Katie ~ a macaron would do that.

  12. Bonjour, Dianne ~ I could do with a chunk of baguette lashed with butter and Vegemite about now. Not so Française. ;)
