Francophile Friday Fleurish: Not-So-Cherubic by Nature

I'm not sure if this little cherub approves of his conversion from a small decorative fountain to a pot of flowery grasses on the wall of his farm house in Provence.   He looks a bit cranky about it to me.  If I ever choose to do something like that, I'll discuss it with the cherub first to be sure he's amenable to his new facilities ~ something I would not have previously thought necessary with a cherub.

Contrary to what this petulant little fellow may wish ~
Happy Francophile Friday Fleurish to you!

  1. Now there's something you don't see every day: a cranky cherub! (seems a bit oxymoronic.) If I got to spend my days in Provence, I'd be anything but pouty about it—but I'm sure you've captured this ungrateful little creature perfectly (as always), Shell.

  2. Those colours mix & match wunderfully together.

Friday? It's still Thursday here. But, I wish it were Saturday!

  3. I think that little cherub might give me bad dreams. He looks a little otherworldly. Love the color of the flowers!

  4. Thanks, Alexa! It does seem oxymoronic ~ not only that, but while doing this post, I found the 'cherub' to be one of those words that really starts to look strange when you stare at it for a while.

Cafe ~ will you sleep in on Saturday?

Amy ~ oh, dear, yikes! I wouldn't want to give you nightmares. Focus on the flowers. :)

  5. That cherub has colic for sure. I say this with authority as the recent mother of 2 very similar facial expressions.

  6. Ah, my Friday Shell fix.

Clearly, the cherub is spoiled rotten.

  7. That cherub looks like me this morning when I discovered I was out of mocha for my coffee and had to use hubby's vanilla creamer.

Happy weekend to you, too, Shell. May it be as fabulous as your drawings.

  8. If it's anything I hate, it's a huffy cherub. Cheer up little guy, it's your lucky day. Shell just made you famous!

  9. Mise ~ ouch, sorry to hear that ~ do jelly beans help?

Hiker ~ I wonder how he'd have felt about becoming a bird bath?

PCN ~ that vanilla creamer must make a mockery of your usual coffee routine! Happy weekend to you, too ~ I guess you're shopping for groceries...

Virginia ~ LOL!! It could take more than that to cheer this churlish cherub.

  11. What a sweet photo! I just want to give that little cherub a pinch on the cheek. (Actually, I gave him a pout right back when I first saw his face, but luckily no one saw me do that. Don't tell!) If I ever have a house in Provence, I want this cherub on my wall!

  12. Cali ~ I shouldn't be too hard on him, as I have a feeling I looked like that when I woke up this morning.

Katie ~ he might start smiling if he's on your wall. :)

  13. This is one of my favorite Shell Sherrees. Something about his nasty attitude just brightens mine.

    Mise, you made me laugh.
